About Him
He calls himself Magneto /mæɡˈniːtəʊ/ because the first part of the pronunciation sounds like "Mai" (麦) in Chinese, so people call him "Mai Mai" or "Whole Wheat Bread 🍞".
He is now a college student majoring in "Computer Science and Technology" and also a research grunt, having participated in some "scientific research projects" and "computer engineering projects" in CS & CE. He counts as a full-stack engineer, but his strongest area is still "front-end development".
Besides that, he can also design and build circuit boards on his own, making him half an "electronics engineer".
He is also a "poet" and "photographer", with a deep love for writing poetry, essays, and taking photos. A bit artsy, isn't it?
- 🥰 Loves "competitions" and showing off his strength to everyone
- 🏄 Used to surf the internet intensely, but now invests more time in real life
- 😎 A firm believer in meritocracy, trusting that strong abilities lead to better outcomes
- 🤪 Dislikes all mobile games, has a special fondness for 3A titles, but prefers learning the development techniques behind 3A games
- ☺️ A writer who balances romance and realism, hoping to become a great author and also a formidable programmer.
His favorite subject is history, followed by moving and heartfelt articles. Along the way in exploring writing, he has penned quite a few odd pieces. He carries the unique passion and innocence of youth, hoping that his future self can win the "Nobel Prize in Literature", yet he also possesses the calm and rationality common to all, knowing full well that such a dream is nearly impossible.
You have to have a dream — what if it comes true?
He loves design, but he loves biology even more. He also loves traveling, though unfortunately his current life has become a kind of "prison" confining his free spirit. But that's okay — he believes his future self will surely spread his wings and soar.
Hopefully, one day he can pursue a PhD in Computer Science
About Technology
He is currently working on the intersection of computer vision and edge computing, trying to achieve higher accuracy with the lightest-weight models.
His research group focuses on knowledge graphs and RAG vector databases.
His favorite language is TypeScript, thanks to its powerful cross-platform capabilities — he can handle front-end, back-end, PC, and mobile development all in one language.
What he admires most are C++ developers, as from that raw power one can find the ultimate speed of modern computing.
He knows these languages (listing them all): C, C++, JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, PHP, C#, Python, CSS, Lua, Golang
His skills cover front-end, back-end, databases, embedded programming, simple hardware design, Linux kernel development, parts of LLM, and computer vision models.
His view on the AI boom is relatively conservative, but there's no doubt it has boosted our productivity.
