The narrator had a vivid dream after staying up late and reminiscing through old photo albums. In the dream, they were descending stairs in what seemed like a university with a subway station. They narrowly caught an elevator, where they encountered someone they recognized clearly but chose to ignore. The dream shifted to a rooftop overlooking a large body of water, either an ocean or a pool, with a vague connection to Hainan. The dream concluded with an offer to reconcile and a suggestion to push someone off the rooftop, which the narrator didn't respond to.
Dream of 530
Dream of 530
I'm sure it was a dream about 530, because I didn't go to bed until the early hours, and I'd been flipping through old photo albums, my mind racing with memories.
In the dream, I kept walking down a staircase. Looking up, I saw a metal nameplate with a few blurry characters on it—something like "Hainan"—and in the dream this was a university, there was even a subway...?
I was about to miss the elevator, but it seemed someone held it for me on purpose. I stepped in, and there were four people, one of whom was... him...!! I'm sure it was him. His face was incredibly clear in my dream. I looked at him, but he stayed silent. Maybe I understood what he meant, so I turned around and stopped looking at him. Perhaps it was better to just be strangers. The elevator reached a floor, and I didn't know why I got out, but the important thing was that he followed me out... There was no one around. He said, "Let's make up." He talked about the past, but I couldn't remember—probably because back then he'd had some reason he had to let me go. But I said nothing, just held his arm, leaned against him, and walked forward.
We came to a huge circular rooftop terrace with no railing. Looking down, was it a vast sea...? Or a giant swimming pool! Here I was even more certain the characters on the nameplate read "Hainan." My classmate suddenly appeared and asked if I wanted to push him off. I said nothing, and that's where the dream ended.
